Walking

Get ready to ramble…..fresh air and brisk walk anyone? We have some lovely walks close by – across to Geddington or over to Fermyn Woods Country Park including the Lyveden Way, Northamptonshire’s seventh long distance path which takes in the beautiful Lyveden New Bield, and Wadenhoe village, looping back to the starting point. You are welcome to borrow a walking map from us (although these days, all you really need is the  ……app which is fantastic for guiding you along the right path).

Cycling

If you wish to bring your bike, we are happy to store your bikes safely for you.  We have some lovely country parks nearby – Fineshade Woods, Stanwick Lakes, East Carlton Country Park, Barnwell Country Park, Pitsford Reservoir, Grafham Water and Rutland Water

Or if you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, you might like to try a spot of gliding! located midway between the sleepy market town of Oundle and the industrial town of Corby and close to the National Trust Property of Lyveden New Bield. It is surrounded by beautiful gently rolling countryside, ideal for thermal soaring.

Elinor Trout Fishery (6.7 miles)
