In recognition that The Swallows Rest Bed & Breakfast has confirmed that they have followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social/physical distancing.
Our focus is first and foremost on protecting your health and well being, when staying with us at the Swallows Rest. Please be reassured by the measures we are taking as a business to help keep you safe;

maintaining social distancing and wearing face masks when meeting and dealing with guests

enhancing our already strict hygiene procedures by conducting rigorous deep deep cleaning/disinfection of rooms on guest departure

regular disinfection of communal areas and frequently touched areas.

supplying cleaning team with protective equipment

providing hand sanitisation gel in bedrooms and communal area

washing our hands regularly

contactless payment via bank transfer (alternatively, payment can be made by credit/debit card)

breakfast buffet eliminated - now providing a la carte choice with separate time slots for guests when dining in breakfast area

in-room breakfast option also offered in addition to breakfast room dining

guest given option of a mid-stay service clean or not (if they prefer to avoid for safety reasons)

Everything we're doing is based on the latest government guidance. We are dedicated to ensuring that you continue to receive the highest standard of care and consideration from us here at the Swallows Rest. If you have any concerns at all before visiting, we are happy to answer any questions you may have.
We politely remind guests of their responsibility to follow COVID-19 guidelines during their stay, including social distancing and good hygiene practice with all contact/activities both inside and outside the B&B.
Following current government guidance, please also check in to the NHS COVID-19 App when you arrive by scanning our QR code (on display in B&B).
If guests have any COVID-19 symptoms (a high temperature, a new continuous cough or a loss/change to sense of smell and taste) prior to arriving or during their stay, they should stay/return home and follow government guidelines in isolating/reporting symptoms/getting a test.
